Electrical Problem.

Ok... SOmething is draining my battery. I just purchased a new batt. about a month ago because the old one died. At first I though it was my big *** amp for my subs, so I disconnected it and it's still dieing. Next I replaced the Alternator, still dieing. I chacked all my electrical connections, fuses, and such. I cannot for the life of me figure out whats killing the batt. Now the new battery I bought is smaller than the one I replaced. The dood at NTB looked it up in the computer and it's the rights size. Now could that be the problem, not enough amps to crank the motor?

come on guys your killing me here. Do you have a 12 volt test light. If you do take one of the battery cables off the battery. Put one of the leads of the test light on the battery post you just disconnected and the other lead on the battery wire you just disconnected. If you are drawing current that you should not be, the light will light up. There is half the battle.

Now start either disconnecting things or removing fuses one at a time until you find the circuit that causes the light to go out. If any of you have those thumping amps, start with those. The switches in those go bad all the time. Over heating problem.

hey formula.. where at in Bucks are you from. I'm originally from Jersey in Willingboro. Spent a lot of time in bucks. It's wierd(in a good way) to see a person from back home so to speak.

Remember everyone may and probably does have a different cause of drawing power. When one comes up with the cause, that's a good place to start for the others but don't count on it.

Everyone, let us know if you need more help
