As a daily driver, I would just go back with a stock WP. There really is no performance benefit involved and the life of the electric WP is limited.

I have been running a MEZ for about 2 years now and have had one failure due to a bad bearing in the W.P. I bought a NEW one while the old one was reparied so now I keep a spare and the new one has been trouble free for over a year now. My car is a daily driver and I have been on long trips with no issues running electric. Upgrading my opti to a vented system, Hotcam and Cloyes dbl roller dictated that I needed to run electric rather than a Mechanical pump.

Looking at your mods, I would stay with the mechanical pump simply because its less work to change it out and probably less expensive.. All an electric pump will do is free up some HP and you will need to wire it up so that you can detect if it fails on you. You will need a 30AMP relay, wiring and its best to install a warning indicator to detect a power off problem with the pump.
If you decide to go electric, there are several install guides and warning light guides on the site here to help you along. Install is not difficult but do you really need or want to go the electric route? Good luck!

There is very much a performance benefit. About 10 RWHP, don't forget the stock wp is leaching HP off the engine. For a 5 hour a day drive I don't think I would do it though, unless you plan as regular maintanance to replace it every year. The pro's are that when they fail they dont spill coolant on your opti, and you free up some horsepower.

i have a csi. they are cheaper and seem to last longer. i picked up a little over 1 mph in the 1/4 and the weather was much worse after the install so it was prolly a little more.

I have been running the Meziere for over 4 years/30,000 miles. I have had no problems as of yet. I check it every time I am under the car to make sure the weephole the Meziere has isn't showing any signs of a leak.
