Electric Waterpump installation notes

I plan to do the install sometime after I'm done spraying the car.
I was wondering after I drain the coolant...can I just dump it back in at the Fill cap area? Or do I need one of those machines to pump the coolant back through the system?

Aah, but you see when I gave you information to the Race track...it was actually helpful.

Miezere and CSI cannot answer the Waterpump question becasue they do not specialize on LT-1 engines. So it's better to find out from another source...

I wouldn't reuse the coolant. But yeah, fill it up when it's all back together, then start it and you'll need to bleed the system of air, might need to add some more coolant, etc. You'll get a low coolant light if it isn't full yet.

I probably filled it straight into the radiator to start the filling process, I forget. Since it will be empty, and cool, you can open that cap and use it to fill.

Here is the guide I used for Opti/WP

If you're doing an electric waterpump, I have some pics and info that might help ya. Most of that is for using parts of the old AIR system for the CSI install (harness, relay) not sure if you'd want to do that... but there is some CSI stuff at the bottom.

Draining the system of coolant is messy as hell btw. I had a big bucket but only half the coolant made it inside.
