electric waterpump on a daily driver? specifically a 383?

anyone have a 383 with an electric water pump? specifically the csi?

im just wondering how you like it, cause im going to most likely need a new timing chain here and this is pretty much my only option.

anyones pump just suddenly stop working? recommend it over a stock one?

and is the p/n on the double roller chain, CLO-9-3100 thats a summit p/n

I have the CSI on my daily driven stoker. I'd recommend it.

Im going to be using a CSI waterpump on my stroker when its done. Go to www.akmcables.com and they have a schematic that you can wire in a warning light to tell you when the pump fails and when you have a bad ground. Im definitely making use of it.

My friend has a CSI and it has stopped working on him 4 times causing the car to get hot. They are not worth it in my opinion that is why i went with the extreme duty chain.

Mine has been fine so far...other than that one time, that is.

I don't know if the fuse holder that I had comes with the pump or not (I didn't install it), but mine melted and broke the connection between the pump and power. Not cool at all. Keep an eye on it and you should be fine...I'll be wiring up an idiot light to it at some point in the near future just to be safe.

EDIT: I'm running a CSI, by the way.

When I did my motor I just installed a new stock pump. I didn;t want to have to worry about it since I drive on the street.

Still running my Meziere after 2 years. Everything ok. By the way, I think that Cloyes P/N is: 3145 not 3100.

the electric should cool better at all rpm right? since it moves more water constantly than the stock does at redline?
