The electric water pump is the same for all LT1’s. I personally have the Meziere and its working great so far, temps are well in order in spite of using AC and in stop and go traffic.
I Had it powered up from the air pump harness, and notch the fan shroud for it to fit, not a big deal.

I wouldnt get one for my daily driver again... I did and it runs hot! If I were to ever get one again I would use it on a track car ONLY! I've heard many people say good things about Electric WPs, but here in the desert it isnt working well.

I have the Meziere Elec W/pump. Same setup as InjectedSS, with switch. Helps save the Battery when cranking to start. It helpd reduce the temp. Think it will free the power that was used by the mechanical pump, too.

sssalah,

Nice compo there. Have any dyno numbers or track times.

Is it a daily driver or just pure drag car.

Hahahah...funny you should ask. The engine is still in the shop. I have everything for it but just waiting on the crank. At the last minute I changed my mind and cancelled the order to get forged parts. The machine shop is hot tanking, boring it out and stuff then I'm slappin her together. Plus I'm still...I repeat STILL...working on my heads so I'm in no rush. I'll be sure to post some numbers later but I dont think it will be for another 2 months or so with breaking it in and all.

O yeah its gonna be an everyday driver......

SSSalah,

I saw your car on NuTek's website. I'd like to know what kind of #s you put up as well. I just got my nu-tek 396 that is built very similar to your's. I'm using ported LT1 heads instead of LT4 like you, and my cam specs are slightly different (Duration@.050 Int 232.8 Ex 240.4). I'd like to know what kind of numbers you run as well for a reference.

Do you have any recommendations or would you have done anything differently?

Thanks in advance for your response!

I have one on my car. It stays cool just fine. I drove it around in 119 degree heat in the desert in August. Stop and go with the AC on, the car never got above about 195 or so. I think it did that with the stock water pump anyway.

I had a problem with it last night as I was driving home. The temps were getting up there as I pulled into the driveway, and the pump was not running. After testing all the wiring, it seems that the wiring at the pump has a loose connection. When you jiggle the wiring, you can hear the pump speed up momentarily. On one occasion, it stopped completely until I moved the wires again. So, I've got a new one coming from CSI. At least it's easy to install...
