electric water pump worth it??
Re: electric water pump worth it??
I recently put a CSR in my Formy. Very happy with the power gain. Only thing I see that worries me is the running temps on the highway don't get up to normal operating range, even with my new stock 190°F thermostat. Seems to read around 160° or so. I need to slap my scanner on it to get a real reading.
I have a Meziere H2O pump that I bought from someone not used but already bolted up to the housing. So, I don't know what is involved with mounting the pump on the housing. Can I go from Meziere to CSR without having to do anything to the housing or the wiring harness? Do I have to take the housing off the motor this time or can it be done on the car?
Also I don't see a "warning system" on the CSR website. Not that anyone said it was there, but where do I get one?

Re: electric water pump worth it??
all you have to do is swap out the drive unit to switch. you'll be fine. one thing though, you have to decide if you want it to run "always" or "when needed", depending on your setup. mine's always on. temps never reach above 195. i figured that the factory wp is always driving, why not the elecric unit.
i didnt have any clearance issues with mine...and i'm not sure if you'd have any with the mez unit either.
