electric water pump question??

i ordered a csi water pump and i have a question.

when i pull the cam gear out that drove the stock waterpump , do i have to plug that hole with a freeze plug.{ the hole in the block, not the pump housing]

Good question. The hole seems to measure exactly at 1 1/4", however, in order to get something in there it really needs to be like 1 15/64". LOL Someone mentioned using a couple washers and a nut and bolt. I'm getting ready to do mine soon and am still looking for the best way to go... ??

You have to plug the hole in the Timing cover, but not the Block.

I used a freeze plug I found at the local parts store, but others just use a Quarter and some JB Weld.
