electric water pump guys inside

Does anyone know how to go about removing water pump gear shafts?

Also, what is the best way to remove the Impeller (the stock water pump)?

Thanks.

I used a shop press. The impeller shaft is pressed out from the front, and then the bearing is pressed out from the rear.

Be careful when you're pressing the shaft out too. I broke the little aluminum collar that holds the bearings to the shaft. It's amazing how far ball bearings will fly.

I got mine with a 3" claw puller, the same one I used to put my underdrive pulley on with. I hooked it onto the impeller to pull it off then I turned the claws around and hooked to the housing to push the shaft out, piece of cake.
