it is an electric fan that goes in your air intake, it will give you exactly 0 lbs of boost, i believe its some sort of a marine type of fan??? i've read posts about them before, they will actually cause a restriction in your air intake and the fins will break off and get sucked into your motor
your right just a scam to make money

You mean that the heater fan won't provide enough air? Like stated above...SCAM that will destroy your engine.

Just to give you a more "technical" explanation....

To make HP, you need "boost". You can buy a 4.5psi Powerdyne, or go all out with 20psi boost from a huge ATI or Vortech centrifugal blower...... key terms here - psi of boost, and centrifugal blower.

A fan can produce pressure in the range of "inches of water" ("H2O). It takes about 28"H2O to make one (1) psi. So, just to get a boost equal to a low HP Powerdyne blower, you would need about 125"H2O..... a fan can't do it.... maybe 10 or 20"H2O, or maybe 50"H2O with a really exotic fan, but with a little propellor fan, you will not see more than a few "inches" of boost.

But let's assume a fan could magically be designed to produce 4.5psi..... that would net you a nice 60HP or so. The fan (or blower) doesn't run by istself... you need a drive system. A typical "blower" will take up to 5HP off the front of the crankshaft for every psi of boost. That means to make 4.5psi boost, your electric fan would need a 20+HP motor..... have you ever seen a 20HP motor? Do you realize how big it is? Then there is the issue of where do you get the power for that motor.... 20HP = 15KW.... would require 1,250amps at 12V..... ever seen a 1,250amp alternator????

When you stop and think about it, you realize how ridiculous the power claims are.

You'd be better off giving the money to the poor. At least that will have an effect

Ignore what Fred said.

I think it's an excellent mod.... just make sure you drop your static compression to 8 or maybe 8.5:1 before bolting that puppy on.

Actually, I was going to recommend farting into the intake.... at least that would put some methane in their to burn..... .

Ahh yes, good ol methane injection.... gotta get out quick on that one Fred. A methane backfire would not be pretty.

Now I wonder if we could sell something like that?

Funny thing is they claim if you buy more then one you can put them together for "more Boost" this has been off and on discussion on about any car forums, there was a deal on ebay once telling people how the fans break off and suck into your engine and how they make no boost basically.
