The Flowtech is the actual cutout peice. It is only like $25. The other part from either DMH, QTEC, or Mccord is the motor peice that opens and closes the cutout. The best one to get is the DMH e-cutout. The peices are top quality, comes with a 4 year warranty, and his customer service is very good. Its a little bit more money but you get what you pay for in this case.

I've got a mccord. The motor/gearbox has a 1year warranty and the body has 2. My gearbox came apart after a year and like 3 months(loose screws) and I lost most of the pieces by the time i stopped. Mccord did fix it for free though. I think 4 year warranty might be worth the extra 50 bucks(GP).

I have a qtech and it rattles annoyingly when close but it does work ok.I took it off and ordered a dmh.Buddy has a mccord 2 I think it is and it rattles when closed also.

So hope the dmh works good. These are my favorite mods to do to your car..quiet when you want and a tiger a few seconds later when you want to put fear of god into that little 4 banger beside you..

I haven't had any issues.
The only time I have had to mess with it was to clean it up/lubricate it once, which is says to do in the instructions....
