Eldebrock Heads

Looking to do heads and cam this upcoming spring. Went to a shop yesterday and got some info....Eldebrock heads were $560 a piece fully ported and polished(Performer). Intake was around $300. Are these good heads? I will also get cam package to go with it. I am trying to keep this project around $2.000. The work will be done by myself and a buddy so the parts are all I need.

For that price you can get stock LT4's,which will flow better out of the box.And have a lot more potential. Its your cash and car tho.

If I went with the GM heads, the stock heads are not ported. If I get the ported ones, Wont they cost a ****load of $$$$$?

Lt4's flow like 242 cfm stock.Edelbrock are right around there from what I have read.So for around the same price I would raher have the LT4.Sodiom filled exhaust valves also.Just my view.

I thought about getting my heads done, but everyone tells me for the price, get new heads.....I know the LT1 heads are good for around 500hp......If I can get them done for 1,200....that is definately an option. Where is this cnc company located.....do they have a website?

Send your stock heads to Lloyd Elliot, for around $1000 you can have 280cfm flow, which blows the LT4 and Edelbrock out of the water.

his e-mail is nighttrain66@msn.com

Just do a search for Lloyd Elliot and read up on his work, you can't go wrong with him.

Fully ported for that price? Are you sure? Jegs lists them at $519 each.

I agree with Chris. Lloyd is by far the best bang for the buck and does great work. Do a search and see for yourself. Ported stock castings are a good choice, I spent alot of time looking at other choices before I went to Lloyd.

lloyd is a very nice guy , instead of selling me something that wouldnt benefit me very much he told me the truth . He told me porting lt4 heads would only give me 4 or 5 tenths with my mods , which is good for the price but to me not worth all the work of taking them out when there are other things that could be done first , lloyd gets a thumbs up from me

i went with lloyd elliot, flow numbers were 274/191 at 0.6"
i paid less than $1300 for new valves/double springs/fully assembled/ported/polished/flow graphs of before and after/next day shipping....... great customer service......

i trapped 115.4mph with his heads and XE224/230.

for the performance you wont beat the price.
