EGR valve, need pic and help, SHOEBOX pic please????
how hard is it to replace guys, do you just remove the two bolts, vaccum line, and gasket. then put new gasket on, bolt new egr on and then hook up vaccuum line? the hard part is getting to it. do i have to get to it underneath the car or can i get to it above? will i have to pull the mootr? which way is easier, i totally prefer on top of the car much much easier for me!
You get to it from the top. Get yourself an inspection mirror and look back there to see what your dealing with. You will have to feel your way back there to get the end of the wrench on the nuts. Left nut you get to from the left side and right nut from the right side. With the drivers side nut, you will want to remove the brake booster vacuum hose and EGR solenoid to get good access to it. Once you get the two nuts off, the valve pops right off with a little wiggeling.

I can reach both nuts to get the EGR valve off from the passenger side of the car.
It's not that bad really.
I have traction control so I have the big module over the driver's side valve cover to contend with.
