I scanned my car this morning and code 32 came up?? soo im assuming the EGR valve is not working correctly or at all...i have a rough idle and horrible hesitation when accelerating?? i was wondering if anyone has any input on what else could be wrong?? i also have a pinging of two metals hitting together when i take off?? thanx alot

Last I recall Haynes noted those symptoms (rough idle and hesitation under light acceleration) for....you guessed it - your EGR valve. I had an EGR code too - it took me forever to finally realize where the damn thing is though. (I have pictures if you want them)

To check it, the manual suggests pushing the diaphragm (sp.) in/up while the car is idling. It should stumble. If it does, that verifies that much is working >> I would check all your vaccum lines at this point to make sure they arent broken/come off. The manual then tells you to take the vaccum line off the top and using a vaccum pump to verify that is working. If so -- your valve is fine. Move on to the solenoid or the lines connecting to it.

Edit: i'm no expert in this field, just shedding some light (at least as much as I have)
