EGR tube to header gasket?

i'm wrapping up the header install on my AS&M's. i don't recall if there was a gasket between the egr tube and the exhaust manifold where the connect. it looks like there should be a gasket there, but should there? if so, will copper rtv work?

Yes, there should be a gasket and I would use one over RTV. MHO.

are you talking about #14 on that picture? if so, i'm talking about the other end of the tube, and i don't see the gasket on that end of the tube in that picture.
i really don't think there was one on the stock manifold but i don't know how else it could have sealed

I did not have a gasket where the EGR tube meets the header on my AS&Ms. The EGR tube fit into the hole on the header. I just bolted them together. If mine leaks I cannot feel it nor was it "blackened" like it gets from an exhaust leak.

No gasket is needed... I used some sealant on mine, but since its a machined fit, no gasket should be necessary.

Mine worked fine with just a single tightening down and I have had no leaks.

My apologies, I read your post too fast. Obviously, there is no gasket shown for the other end.
