EGR simulator schematics ?
I ran across a couple of posts talking about building OBD2 EGR simulators, but I haven't had much luck actually finding schematics. I've seen a couple descriptions saying:
I'm not very good with electronics, but does this require a DPST solenoid? I'm not seeing how this can be done with SPST.
Unplug the 2 wire weatherpak going to the EGR solenoid, and splice it onto a relay.
From the other side of the relay:
--Splice one wire to the rear of the MAP
--Splice the other wire to the middle using a 75 ohm resistor.

Re: EGR simulator schematics ?
Thanks!
I wired it up and reset the codes on my car. Interesting observation: EGR, O2's, and Heated O2's no longer show up as "ready". The PCM isn't throwing a code though either. I'm wondering if it's because I didn't let the car have a complete cold start... hmm...
I'll have updates tomorrow.

Re: EGR simulator schematics ?
Ok guys, update. I cleared the PCM and drove 25+ miles (including a bit of cruising on I-90) without any problems. I used a slightly different resistor (68 Ohms, available at Radio Shack) with no problems. Also, the EGR readiness monitor showed up as "ready".
