EGR block-off

Where could I get an EGR block off other than Ebay I don't feel comfortable getting one from there.

what would blocking off the EGR do? i've heard about it a while ago but i forgot specifically what it does. could anyone explain?

does it effect emissions?

Yes it affects emissions. For performance, removing it does nothing. It is so far in the back and out of the way, I don't know why people even bother with it.
People commonly remove them if they have headers with no provision for the EGR feed tube that goes to the RH exhaust.

Exhaust Gas Recirculation. It does add a significant amount of heat to the back of the manifold and has been blamed (Though not proven) to be the cause of the Intake manifold oil leak. Does the air travel too fast through the intake to be effected by the increased temperature though? Anyone done a before/after dyno test with just !EGR?
You can usually re-use the old egr parts as block-off plates, just plug any openings....be creative.

there would be no gain at WOT because the egr is blocked off when you get on it or above a certain rpm. It recycles the exhaust to lower cylinder temps. below 2500 degrees because the exhaust produces alot more emissions above that temp.

If you have dime in your pocket you have an EGR blockoff. Slop it up with RTV put the gasket over it and install. It's invisible too!
