EGR and AIR disconnected... missfire?

I was wondering if these 2 items being disconnected (EGR tubes were welded shut where it screws into headers, and the AIR pump is just sitting there right now disconnected) would cause a random missfire ever? It ran ok at idle, but after that it just pops and missfires w/ any real throttle... thanks

Check for burned wires that have maybe touched the manifolds when you were pulling some of the air tubing off.

But no, removing emissions wont cause misfire.

The only EGR provision on headers (if they are emissions legal) would be on the passenger rear side. The threaded holes in the front are for the AIR system.

ahh thanks, didnt understand the difference between the 2 shoebox. so, i have only disconnected the AIR system... what all is involved in completely removing the AIR system? just those 2 fittings, then take out the metal tubing and bracket along w/ the AIR system pump type thing?
