EGR and AIR blockoff plates from this site

Hey guys,

This site is a bit confusing.

http://www.sjmmanufacturing.com/cam_eng_lt1.html#

What parts do I need to remove my EGR and AIR system and plug everything and do a nice, clean look?

Any better/cheaper place to order these from? I don't think these guys are expensive, just not sure if I need 1 or 2 kits at $24. Also, am wondering if anyone knows appr. how long these guys take to ship?

I'm gonna use non emmissions headers.

Thanks guys,

Igor.

The EGR and AIR system are completely different.

Air delete :

2X -M22x1.5 to plug the manifold(one on each side)
1X -5/8" Vaccum nipple to block the air inlet tube on your air intake
1X -1/8" vaccum nipple to block the vaccum connector on your intake manifold

Egr delete:

3 plates kit from SJM

I got great service from them

For the EGR, you only need 1 plate which covers 2 holes, it goes where the EGR used to be. The other port where the exhaust tube connects to just runs to the EGR port where the plate will be and will be blocked...unless it just bothers you knowing there a hole back there that goes to no where that you can't see, but may let bugs crawl up in there and live

Re: EGR and AIR blockoff plates from this site

The number of EGR plates depends on your headers. If your headers have a connection for the EGR riser tube, you need that plate - that would be the 3-plate kit.

As far as the back of the manifold, if you only use one plate to block the holes where the EGR valve was mounted, you will have to make sure you have gasket/sealer between the plate and the divider wall between the two holes, or you run the chance of a vacuum leak if you don't cap off the manifold where the riser tube connects. For the small cost, play it safe and get both 'em.

Cool, thanks guys.

Ordered the 3 plate kit.

I've built my own in the past for my '94, but it was a while ago and back then I had more time.

Thanks for your help,

Igor.
