Edelbrock TES Headers
Re: Edelbrock TES Headers
I have edelbrocks too. They are coated, and I haven't had any trouble with them at all. I got a great deal on them from a friend used. 1 3/4" primaries would be better though.

Man thats awesome.
Please dont think I ws being disrespectful.
The drag slicks will certainly help.
That is great performance considering its all bolt ons. I would think you should be able to spank a stock LS1 which happens to be my goal.
I have very similar mods but I have a heavy ragtop.
You mentioned that you had not gone RR's yet, this should easily get you into the 12's.
I have heard good things about the Edelbrocks. The only problem I see with them is the 1 5/8 primaries if you port the heads and go big cam. They might choke the engine a bit but for near stock they are tough to beat.
Regardless of headr, ALWAYS GET COATED.

Re: Edelbrock TES Headers
Edelbrock headers are awesome, they are my number one recommendation right after Hooker LT's, TPIS LT's, FLP LT's, Dynatech LT's, Jethot LT's, Kooks LT's, Pacesetter LT's, RK Sport Mids, AS&M mids, TPIS Mids, SLP Mids, MAC mids, Hooker Mids, Pacesetter Mids, and SLP Shorties

But really, any header is an improvement over the stock boat anchors. Like most things in life though, there are better options for more $.

But yeah, I'd definitely rather be running TES headers than the stock manifolds... Those things are god awful.
Re: Edelbrock TES Headers
Yea I'm a comedian and yea I'd take any of the ones I listed before Edel's. Yes, Edel's are better than stock manifolds, but for the money, there are so many better options out there.
Lets not let a few good performing cars online overshadow how crappy the headers really are.
No I wont buy your Edel's

Before the DR's, I used Mickey Thompson tires in the back. My et and mph were about 2-3 tenths slower because the M/T's were too tall. I finally found the right combo w/the BFG DR's. A torque converter and shift kit would help alot but it is hard to find the time to do anything anymore. (Kids, wife, business)
Re: Edelbrock TES Headers
I had the Stainless TES headers; I didn't have any issues with them except spark plug access is terrible.
I ended up selling them and going with the Jet-Hot long tubes (picked them up brand new for $375 off a friend).

Re: Edelbrock TES Headers
Thier good headers if you can get them for $275 or under, and you have strict emissions in your area. Otherwise, I'd invest on something that flowed better. Plug access is annoying, and maybe 15% better than the stock manifolds.
