Edelbrock LT1 Heads?
Edelbrock LT1 Heads?
Hey there,
I just found these while browsing Edelbrocks site. Has anyone heard anything good or bad about these?

The heads don't look much better than stock, and I would be leary of their claim of 70+ horsepower. Plus they do not provide any flow numbers, so I would take their claims with a huge grain of salt. Better to stick with ported stock or AFR heads for the money.
Hmm.... I found another thread with flow numbers

Like AFR, edelbrock isnt out to make much power really, they just offer a decent/fairly safe upgrade. It's what the castings can handle that matters to me, and edelbrock stuff I've had in the past has been pretty beefy
I'd like to get ahold of a set of them

If I had the money I would probably get a set. They have the best of both worlds, a port that flows like a LT4 head, but has the port size of a stock LT1 head. You should get better #s with the Edels then with a set of LT4s.
