Moving to LT1/LT4 Engine Tech.

Are you saying it has a hole in the Edelbrock manifold that the stock LT1 intake doesn't have?

Could it be one they used for machining the idle air/EGR passages and they neglected to plug it?

Honestly I would rethink the purchase alltogether.

There is just realativley little gain going with the edelbrock manifold. Not worth the $$.

There is absolutely nothing indicating ANY gain with the Edelbrock intake, not really anything to say it will hurt either, but seeing what their heads/cam package makes(not much) it would be wise to rethink purchasing any engine components from them for an LT1. The TB is proven OK but that is about it.

IMO it was a good company when OEMs left a HUGE amount of room for improvement, by the time the LT1 was built OEMs were doing things pretty well leaving little room for simple improvement.

Put it this way, the Edelbrock LT4 package makes less at the flywheel than a good LT1 ported heads and cam setup makes at the wheels.
