The butt Dyno isn't always that accurate. Take it to a track and run the car and see how you stack up against other LT1 cars.

Put a cutout on it for when you go to the track. Its actually a more cost effective mod. than the shorty's are.

Yea, you can't always tell the diference. Go to the track and see what you run against OTHER cars.

alright guys. thanks. honestly, i think i might have lose some TQ, but gain more top end power. i'm gonna install nitrous pretty soon with 121K on the clock, so that should brighten my days a little bit, shouldn't it?

For Chits and giggles i dynoed my car w/ cutout open and closed.. I only lost 3rwhp and 6rwtq going through the stock catback.. Now the off road pipe to the cat's.. i can def. see a bigger loss there.. Like said above get a cutout and ditch those cat's for good and you'll be very happy w/ the results'.. The Edelbrocks are very good entry level headers as compared to the more expensive , BBK, and other 1 5/8 headers.. For the best shorty perf. i would recommend the SLP's or just go Long Tube.. But i'm getting off track so.. have fun...

i got rid of the CAT already. i installed an off road pipe. i do have a cut out too, but i can not UNcap it. because the noise is too much. but today i push it to WOT again, and i can really feel a lot of top end gain. as the rpm goes higher, the more power diff. i could feel. thanks

For not being a very good header (so most say) I still trapped 105.8-106.1mph today. Just headers and flowmaster catback (no cat) Im happy with mine.

I concur.

I think the Edelbrock shorties are pretty nice headers. I'm pretty happy with the sound, jury is still out on the performance aspect, but my whole car is FUBAR

My only regret is NOT getting them ceramic coated.

it makes your car sounds like a dragcar, it gives you quite a bit top end power gain. i'm pretty happy with mine, but i really want a catback system, or a muffler

I always hear people say bad things about the Edelbrocks but I have had mine for over three years, never a leak.
I did do gears at the same time but I picked up.4 and 4-5mph with them

I just dyno'd 328rwhp with just a hot cam and I lost 10rwhp with my Vigilante. I think they are pretty good. Fit was excellent adn plug access is ok
I helped install a set of RK sport 1 3/4's and I can't say the same for them. I can tell you his car was stock and he gained nothing from them.
