Edelbrock Cat-Back

I never hear about the Edelbrock Cat-Back on this site. Do they really suck? I'm looking for a good cat-back but don't want the fiberglass that breaks down like Dynomax or Hooker (some models).

i have had my dynomax for about 4 years now without any trouble. dont let someone tell you that the fiberglass stuffing will fall out and stop up your exhaust or anything. the holes in side the baffles that hold the stuffing in there is fairly small so when it does begin to break up it blows right out. they will last longer than you will probably keep the car.

I have the edelbrock catback. Doesn't sound to bad. Just got my cutout installed so it doesn't get anymore use.

Thanks! I appreciate the good response. I like the sound of the Dynomax too. Did you try it with the Off Road Pipe?

yeah i use the off road and it rattles and pops a little on deceleration but nowhere near as bad as the flow that i had on the car. for the boltons that i have it is a good combination with not so much flow that i loose bottom end but enough flow so when i put the cat on for certain reasons and take it off it is a night and day difference. i get many compliments on it and most tell me they havent heard another camaro that sounds like it.

I'm getting the popping really bad with the stock system so anything would be better than that. I use the ORP a lot at the track. Thanks for the good input!

no problem, i really like the dynomax. it is fairly quiet at cruise, has a good deep rumble at idle, and will let everyone know what you are all about at wot.
