ECT sensor help needed
In some freak incindent, my ECT sensor for the gauge broke and the plug got pulled from the wires. I got a new sensor and I'm wondering how many wires go to it. The sensor has 2 metal prongs on the sensor but there is only 1 wire left (is there supposed to be 2 wires?) If it is only 1 wire going to the sensor, which metal prong should i hook it to? Thanks for all help
Re: ECT sensor help needed
do you have a multimeter? have you installed the sender? As shoebox sais, it should only hsave one terminal. if there are two, they should be marked "A" and "B". According to the schematic, pin "A" should be connected to the wire. if its not installed, ohm out both pins with respect to the sender's body, if they both have the same resistance, then it doesn't matter.

Are you sure you bought the correct replacment sensor? The one in the head has a single pin. The one for the PCM in the water pump housing has two pins. Sounds like they gave you the wrong one.
