Ebay Vortec RR's
Everyone probably knows about the Vortec rr's on ebay. Did a search and can't find too much. Basically I'm trying to this on somewhat of a budget. Has anyone had any complaints using these? Does anyone think that they might be worth it?

Re: Ebay Vortec RR's
I don't see why they wouldn't be ok as long as you don't get crazy with valvespring pressure. I'm using "Blue Racer" ones by Crane, non self-aligning with guideplates and 7/16 studs with 612 springs. They fit under the valve cover and are reasonably priced. I bought them on EBAY a year ago for 159.00. The company I bought them from bought a bunch of sets of them when they were made by Wolverine. Crane bought out Wolverine and is continuing the Blue Racer budget line.

I was probably going to go with 612 springs with the 224/230 cam as well....at least that's what i'm told is the biggest i can got with emissions around here. Well then i'll probably go ahead and go with the Vortecs unless someone else chimes in and advices otherwise.

I could see those being made by ProForm or whomever supplies ProForm, might compare specs and see if that makes sense. I have almost 40K on my 1.5 ProForms the last 25k of which has been with a ZZ3 cam and CM614 springs(iron heads) they are still working perfectly.
