Ebay Valves

Does anyone know if the LT1 valves sold on Ebay from Alex's Parts are good quality? The price is right but not sure of the quality? He has 100% feedback and all looks good. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SS-Va...Q5fAccessories

I didn't look at these, but just to let you know if you are rebuilding your heads, you can get ls1 valves and have them installed in your heads, as long as the valves guides for a ls1 are used. The benefit of this is they are much lighter, mostly due to the fact they are 10mm instead of 3/8 which lt1 valves are. This is what I will do when I do my heads.

You might want to re-check your information before quoting it as gospel...

LS1 valves are 8mm(.313") stem - not 10mm(.393")

LS1 factory castings use a .502" guide

LT1 valves are 11/32"(.341") stem - not 3/8(.373")

LT1 factory castings use a .557" guide

LS1 valves use a bead lock keeper vs. LT1 single square groove.

You cannot interchange parts...I can install 8mm stem valves in a LT1 head, but with a guide that is not LS1 in origin.

What I'm looking to do is replace stock size valves with 2.0 and 1.55 so I don't have to replace the seats.

Link says that they're USA made, but I would be apprehensive about using products that don't have the name of the company standing behind them just to save $100 in the short run. They look good and would fit perfectly, but like I said without a name there's no real basis of comparison. I would want pictures of the keeper groove area/tip to see if there's a part number there...
