Ebay Opti

i remember seeing a thread about somebody buying one off of ebay. I believe the seller was All Ignition or something like that.

Just wondering how many of you have bought them off ebay and have had good luck with them, and who you got it from.

Thanks

I read that same thread... Seemed like the guy had a good buy. But I'll tell you, I've had BIG problems with aftermarket opti's. i went back to a Delco unit, and I've been good to go. I beleive the opti is one spot NOT to cheap out.

Folks have taken issue with the vendor you list - the "thepartsladi" is the
vendor that folks speak of when talking inexpensive, but supposedly
genuine GM opti. (I've had no experience with the opti sold by "thepartsladi").

Allignition opti's are junk!!!!!!! Thepartsladi sells Delphi opti's (I have one with no issues). Delphi manufactured opti's for Delco.

Yes, "thepartsladi" has OEM opti's. I bought a genuine AC Delco from them, came in an AC Delco box, car has thousands of problem free miles since. The last time I checked they had Some AC Delco's for 93-94 and some Delphi's (also OEM) for 95-97 for ~$230.

Allignition has derogatory threads on many LT1 bulletin boards. Stay away.

Opti

Stay away from all ebay opti's that are cheap i am in a lawsuit with All ignition now because they will not credit my card back. i put the 4th opti on from them and i am still having problems with it SES light came on due to the optical sensor so i just took the damn thing off and sent it back to them along with another one and he said he would credit my card back and now he will not return my emails or phone calls so i filed a complaint and the court sent a summons out to him…. I just went to jegs and bought a ac Delco one and no problems period . Please guys do not waste your time on these it is not worth it. i will keep everyone posted on what happens

I haven't filed a lawsuit yet but my situation is identical. First they tried to deny I returned the opti, then when I showed them proof, they stopped answering my calls.

I put my All Ignition opti on this weekend, after waiting a long time. I have been following the threads about this whole issue. My car would not start with it installed!! I have ordered an MSD. The question I have is "How many of us have actually been cheated by these people???

There is no genuine AC-Delco opti on ebay for that cheap. Don't kid yourself. There are lots of deceptive people dealing these on ebay.
