Easy way to change plug wires?

I'm trying to track down a high RPM miss, so I'd like to thoroughly check my coil and plug wires.

It looks like I'd rather retorque my rod bolts with a Robogrip.

Is there some way to get at them without pulling the waterpump? I have a blower to complicate things as well, but this looks like any ugly job. Any tips on how to go about it would be very welcome!

Thanks,
Dave

I have a 97 with a high rpm miss. I have replaced plug and wire twice. I have changed many other sensors and stillhave the miss. It has been over 30,000 miles still I replaced the cap and rotor. So, I have order a new ignition system from Delteq. It should be here next week. http://www.delteq.com/products.htm

Maybe useful, maybe not

Jack the car up.
Drop your belt (the car, not your pants)
You should be able to wiggle the distributor ends off and make sure they are snapped back on. Pass sight is tight, drivers is pretty easy.

Replace belt
Drop car down.
Laying on the front of your car reach the plug ends on the driver side with your right hand. Should be relatively easy.

With your left hand, curse loudly as you try reaching the pass side plug wires. I have big hands and had to remove the Alternator and the upper EGR stuff to get enough room. Longs sleeves might be a plus. I had my wife pop a few on, with her nice small arms and hands.

Enjoy

I've got longtube headers, so the plug ends are pretty easy.

So you're saying I can get at the optispark ends from under the car?
