Easiest way for #8 cylinder wire???

My #1 and #8 cylinder was misfireing. I had a extra set of wires and a few extra plugs. So i fixed the #1 cylinder by re-routing the wire and putting a new plug in it. The plug was brand new but it was gapped at 55(the shop i took it to did a ****ty job). I left the old wire on it since it was only 2 weeks old. It seems like i fixed that cylinder misfire. But what is the easiest way to do the #8 cylinder. What should i remove? Is it easier to do it from the top or the bottom. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

from underneath the car. Depends on your exhaust set up, but dropping the starter is easy (2 bolts, 14mm i think) and just tie it up and out of the way.

If that doesnt give you the clearance might drop the y pipe out of the way.

The #8 is secured to the engine block by a stamped metal brace. There are two fasteners holding the brace to the engine block. I'd recommend disconnecting the battery to prevent any incidental sparks. Remember to use a safety stand to secure the jack.

I popped off the #8 from the plug, then I disconnected the fasteners. After that, just uplug from the opti and your set. I decided to buy some plastic wire looming to avoid any incidental chaffing... replacement wires are always a different length.

Did you remove your starter and the y-pipe?

Been awhile since i did it with just the manifolds on there. I think i just had to drop the y pipe. Once i got headers i just have to drop the starter.

drivers side wires were all easy as cake, very simple to do

for passenger side wires make a 90 degree turn just after they come off the opti torwards the back of the car, suddenly you have plenty of room for all plugs and nothing to burn on.

No, I've got Edelbrock TES headers. No need to drop the starter or Y-Pipe. Just get the car in the air with some safety stands, you'll be fine. Don't forget about the metal brace...
