Easiest header to install??

I'm ordering headers this weekend. Unless I hear something interesting in this thread I'm getting jet-hot long tubes. What is the easiest header to install?? no shorties.

They're going on my '96 ws6 TA, fyi.

Re: Easiest header to install??

Pacesetter are probably the easiest longtube to install, although I hear the Kooks headers have a really good fitment and are fairly easy to install as well.

Did you install your Pacesetters yourself? If so, could you outline any troubles you had/methods used? Anyone else???

I pulled the starter, oil filter, valve covers, oil dipstick, alternator and disconnected the steering shaft coupler. I was able to put them both in from the top pretty easily. The hardest part for me was getting my old exhaust off.

I did everyting he did on my Jet Hot install, but disconnecting the steering shaft and valve covers. The one thing I did he didn't have to do is unbolt one engine mount to jack up the motor on one side. I thought the Jet Hot's weren't all that hard.

If I could get my damn car to run right I could drive it to the place who is going to install them for me. I should have my car running right by next weekend. My car came stock with 3.23's, but I think I should still see a huge difference between the two

Re: Easiest header to install??

I am in the same predicament, I have open longtubes right now and I need to get the rest of my exhaust on and sealed up so I can drive to the place that is gonna install mine for me. My 2.73's are such dogs out of the hole, but they start pulling hard on the top end.

I'm going to install a set of lt tpis's next week so I'll let you know. I think the hardest part is going to be getting off the stock manifolds.
