Early SBC headers on 94' LT1?

Hello,
I am in the process of installing a 94 lt1 in my 69 Camaro and was wondering if the earlier headers/exhaust mainfolds will work? The bolt pattern looks the same. Anyone have any experience with this?
Thanks
Brian

Im sure someone else will jump in here but as far as I know it should work fine. The only reason for LT1 specific headers that I know if is for the clearance issues. Good luck with the project, sounds like a fun car to have!

IIRC, the exhaust port on an LT1 is "D" shaped, while the old school small block had a round port. As long as the headers you get are large enough to not cover part of the port, it should work fine.

I have a 95 Impala SS and the guys with them are installing Afterburner headers for the 1967-81 camaro and they are geting great results. It should not be a problem.
