Re: Eagle Competition Rotating Assemblies

Its got a 4340 forged steel crank and rods, it will hold whatever power you throw at it. Check out cnc-motorsports.com you may find a better price.

Re: Eagle Competition Rotating Assemblies

Wow that's expensive! I paid $600 for a 4340 Eagle crank, $375 for the 4340 forged H-beam rods, and $575 for Mahle forged pistons/rings/pins. From what people have told me this setup should handle 800+ hp easy. I don't know for sure, but I know that it will take more than I will throw at it!

Re: Eagle Competition Rotating Assemblies

Thanks guys, appreciate the info. i cant wait to build my engine now. I just got back from the track, I ran 3 13.4s with 103mph trap. I was spinning like crazy all through first too, my 60 foot was a consistant 2.1, if i would have hooked up better i think i could have done 13.1

Re: Eagle Competition Rotating Assemblies

My engine builder told me eagle could balance better than any machine shop around. Can anyone confirm this?

I don't know first hand, but from what I have been told from machine shops i have dealt with, even if you buy the balanced assembly from eagle, you should have it checked because they are not always right on

I agree with getting it re-checked.

Re: Eagle Competition Rotating Assemblies

If your going with turbo or supercharger, thos pistons have +16cc dome... = high compression. How do you plan on making 600-700hp?

Re: Eagle Competition Rotating Assemblies

its going to be a 383, TFS 210cc heads from Advanced Induction, ported intake from A/I, 58mm TB, full aeromotive fuel system, 42lb injectors, complete MSD ignition, i'm unsure of the cam and valve train package i will be using as of now becasue i'm still talking to different engine builders. i have about $8000 to spend on the engine, and a few more to spend on the tranny, rearend, suspension...etc..

Re: Eagle Competition Rotating Assemblies

If you bought all those peices seperate from Summit themselves it would only be 1660.90 Plus 86 $ shipping.

That crank is a forged non-twist peice, very very nice. I seen one in a conventional SBC withstand over 900 ft pounds of torque. The
rods in that kit are the H beam, very nice as well.

Good kit for a N/A set-up, I would go with the -20cc pistons for a F/I set-up.

get AI to cut your cam to match your head flow chart. better than guessing at it and missing out on some power. also let them put on your springs since they will have all the numbers needed for seat pressure and so on.
