Smile Eagle 383 LT1 Stroker Kit

Is anyone using the Eagle 383 LT1 Stroker Kit. Price is damn good, less than $1000. But how good is it for a NA street/Strip car with or without NOS.

Anyone says good or bad about this kit.

Here is the parts list:

ESP" Balanced Street strip Rotating Assemblies are the perfect choice for the street peformance, towing, yet economically prices. Balanced Kit features:
New STD/STD Cast Steel Crankshaft
New 5140 Steel "SIR" Lightweight Connecting Rods
Kieth Black hypereutectic pistons, piston pins and oil rail support when required
Piston Rings: Std Fit Piston Rings
Std rings are premium plasma moly standard bore cast iron ring sets.
Clevite 77 Rod and Main Bearings
New Harmonic Balancer
New Flexplate

SRP Forged pistons could replace KBH pistons for serious NOS user.

Would like to hear facts more than opinions.

Duded you need to call. I'm having my 383 machined as we speak and was going with that kit. I was told by Eagle that in my LT1 I could not go with that cast crank because of the balancing issue. In order to use that crank I would have to add heavy metal to the crank to balance it. The amount I would have to add was gonna cost like 400 bones. So he said for my car I would need to go with Forged stuff. Not bad anyway I was thinking of going with forged anyway and the machine shop gave it to me for cost.

Good luck.

S.J.S,

I thought it doesn't need balancing since it has a New Harmonic Balancer and a New Flexplate that are balanced with the rest of the rotating assembly. And, it says Cranks are 1 pc rear seal which means it is for LT1, I think.

It is listed on: http://www.cnc-motorsports.com/ and jegs, too.

Are you sure.

Do not know if I am using the same kit as you but here is what I got.

This was good for 557 fwhp. With a good supporting staff.
