Dynomouth vs. Flowmaster muffler

I have just the flowmaster muffler and am thinking of switching to the dynomouth setup. Just curious as to the differences in sound (pitch, rasp, etc.) and also performance gains one over the other?

you get about 5 from the muffler and you'll get a few more w/ a whole catback

I also switched from the Flowmaster to the Dynomouth and Ill never go back. Still had some rasp but much meaner sounding exhaust. Something that I just recently ended up doing is cutting my rear section of the exhaust(tips and rear y-pipe) and now I am just running a dump before the axle and it cleared up a lot of the rasp that I had due to the stock tips.

For those who dont know, the dynomouth is a setup exactly like the loudmouth catback except you use a Dynomax race bullet(I used pn 24222) instead of the SLP resonator and use your stock i-pipe. After the i-pipe kicks up over the axle, you have someone weld you up a rear y-pipe and run that out to tips. I dont know about anyone elses but my dynomouth sounded like a somewhat tuned open cutout.

I get all kinds of compliments on my Dynomouth! I still have a cat on mine so its not obnoxiously loud, but it will definitely let people know you are there.
I went from headers/stock exhaust to the Dynomouth and I definitely noticed a difference...the headers were really being held back by the stock muffler.

IMO, above 3000RPM it sounds MEAN AS HELL. When I get home if I can remember I'm going to get some sound clips

Do a search for username ratio411 to get some more information for those that don't know...I was able to do some of the welding myself so it cost me $80 to do mine with the muffler

Wink have you considered a good hooker?

I have the hooker cat back system with the aero chamber muffler and it sounds "sssswwwwweeeeeeeeettttttt". To quote the french fries cooker on the dodgel commercial.

It has a deep sound and growls when decelerating also.
