Dynomouth exhaust questions

I have mainly just one question about this. From what I've seen, with Dynomouth you take the Bullet muffler and put it in the i-pipe and then cut the muffler out and put a piece of pipe in its place. I was wondering if you could put the bullet in the place where the old muffler was. Could it be done? If say I was to get a 16" Bullet, wouldn't this fit in the same location as the stock muffler? I know that you would have to cut off some exhaust piping to get it hooked up to a non-crossflow muffler. I was thinking that this could cut down on the price even more so (high school kid here.....very little dinero). If it worked, do you think it would hurt performance or the sound any? Thanks a lot guys!

You could do that, I would think, as long as you just ran the tip out on the driver's side and left off the passenger side tailpipe.
If it was me, and I was worried about costs, I would just buy a cutout for $30 and get basicly the same sound. Later on, you could buy an electonic valve for the cutout when you get some money scraped together. Good luck. Whatever route you go, you will like it.

I'm going to do the same thing, but I think cost is still a big deal. Your looking at about $150 total, and in the end your still going to have 2 3/4 pipes...ir you could pick up a used hooker/flowmaster cat-back for about that and have 3" pipes. I'm doing it because instead of taking it to a shop, its an excuse to buy a welder and do it myself

Doing it just as the back muffler, it will cost less but not significantly because unless you want all your exhaust coming out through one stock 2 1/4 pipe, you need to build new tailpipes.

I started out with a loudmouth system but now with a new cam in the car was just to loud for me and the police So i need to quiet it down a bit so I installed a dynomax race magnum muffler 3" single (still a straight flow design) almost looks like a bullet style just little more packing in the muffler. There is a pic in my web page to see what it looks like in the factory location. With the system in the car it idle's normal and the at wot it has a good sound to it. But I still do miss the loudmouth in a way.
