Dynoed my LE3 finally
Dynoed my LE3 finally
Here is the graph.

Made 402 HP and 396 TQ on one run and 392 HP and 424 TQ on the other run. I dynoed through a cutout and Mac mid length headers. I also have a 2800 stall converter and 315's out back. I have an OBD I conversion from PCMforless. I scanned the car with Data Master while on the dyno and sent the graph and files to Brian at PCMforless. I'm hoping for a few more ponies with new program but we will see. What do you think, is this a little low or just about right?
383
forged Eagle crank
forged Eagle 5.7 rods
-16cc SRP forged Pistons
11.7 CR static
58mm Throttle Body
LE3 heads and Cam
ported intake by Lloyd
Racetronix intank fuel pump kit
42 lb injectors

You could definately use a tune. It will pick up some nice power. Any plans on dumping those midlengths? 1 5/8" primaries are hurting you for a few ponies. With a few other little things then you could be rolling a good 35 rwhp more.
HP is in the LE3/355 range rather than 383.
Probably reasonable considering you don't have LTs or a dyno tune.
Here's a poorly-tuned LE3 383 with 458 HP on a mustang dyno:

What kind of dyno were you on?

Heres the deal... your AFR looks spot on right around 12.8:1 so you wont pick up anything by adjusting your fuel. Now spark might be a different story but I still wouldnt believe youll gain that much... maybe 10 hp but Im only guessing.
The main reason your numbers could be low is the tranny. Autos use up more power for starters and unless you locked the converter... you are losing even more power.

Yeah, everbody forgets the auto.....I lost 35-40 SAE rwhp going from manual to an unlocked auto. You won't lose that much with your unlocked tight 2800rpm stall, but I bet you'll lose 20.....Some long tubes will help for sure, and those 315 tires maybe taking an extra 5 rwhp? MY guess is 425-430 if it were a manual...the way it sits now...Good job....
I think I'm pretty happy with it and my tuner thinks I won't pick up much more. It is a Dyno Jet dyno they were using which I think is most accurate. However, I think a more experienced person running the dyno would show maybe a little more. PCMforless is going to look at the scan and see if any more can be had. As far as the CR, the -16 pistons were a mistake on my part in the begging. I told Lloyd about it when ordering my LE3 stuff and he compensated for the CR somewhat. And also the thin gaskets. Oh well, next time I'll know. Now I need some track times.
Jeff,
I still can't read that dyno. Maybe it's the new monitor here??? Anyways I'm sure Bryan/Alvin will look over the scans for you and see what you need. The Mids are going to hurt the upper RPM range and therefore HP but they will help you around stall. If Lloyd milled your heads down a bunch then you would be around 11:1 (54cc chambers) but you would have paid a little more for that. Most likely it's high 10's low 11's.
