dynoed my car today at car show

i dynoed my car today on a mustang dyno i did 2 pulls and a 1/4 mile simulation. not too happy with the numbers

i have a 396 with a le2 h/c package on a madz28 tune ported lt4 intake , lt headers, corsa catback with dump, 30lb injectors new moser 12bolt with 3:91 gears new opti, stock tb, stock fuel system, stock spark plugs (new untill break in of motor)also have a 2800 pro torque converter everything has 560 miles on it

pull 1 is
319 rwhp
317 rwtq
the air fuel was a min of 12.0 and avg of 13.2 it spiked from about 5300 to 5800 rpm

pull 2 is with cutout open
327 rwhp
298 rwhp
did not do a/f on this one

my 1/4 mile sim was
60 ft 1.08
12.262 @114.26

tell me what you guys think i have the sheets if someone can host them for me

I know the mustang shows less hp than a dynojet, but damn. It seems like you have the bolt ons needed, I just hope it is something simple that is killing your power. I would check your fuel pressuse at WOT above 5000rpm. Your stock fuel pump is likely starving your injectors. How lean was it reading at the upper rpms? It still seems like it should have shown more TQ below 5000rpm with a decent a/f. Good luck.

Well 13.4 is a little on the lean side, but not enough to kill any substantial hp or tq. Did the car stumble at all or was the graph pretty smooth? If everything feels okay, I would go make a few pulls on another dyno. You never know, the guy at the car show may have had it set up completely wrong.

1.08 is a damn good 60ft time

All joking aside if you are trapping 114 mph you are making more power than that

Re: dynoed my car today at car show

Like James said above, if your A/F is ok (yours is a little lean, nothing Ion can't fix unless you're starving your injectors), timing is good, and there no knock then you should be okay. I posted this before, but I have lost faith in dynos especially "car show" dynos. These things have become so popular and I'm just not sold on the operators knowing whats going on. I would take it to a respectable dyno under more controlled conditions, with tuning capabilities or have Ion meet you and try it again. My A/F is 13:1...My dyno numbers went from 400rwhp to 362 to 385...torque ranged from 430 to 352...My new dyno is the track...Your MPH will tell you what you're making...I trap at 118 so I'm satisfied with that...for now....
Good luck..

I was also at the belmont show,at the last show,a few months ago a friend of mine dyno'ed on the same portable dyno and made about 30hp last than a dyno jet,you should also look into getting a dyno tune instead of playing guessing games with a mail order.
