Please post the results on that one, I'm curious as to how much I am giving up by running Mids VS LTs.

What kind are you ordering?

that car sounds nice and mean... pulled up behind it on my bike last week and I was like damn. I'm sure it will do very well at the track. Just need to work out some kinks. beware LS1's

Are you going back to the dyno with the LT's by themselves? I'm hoping that you don't do the stall at the same time because I want to see the change from LT's only. I'm doubtful that the LT's will gain much, but that's my opinion. I have not seen data yet to say otherwise.

If you do dyno again with only the LT's being changed, please let us know if ANYTHING else was changed...ignition related, tuning, knock retard...

Thanks,
Dan

I agree also. Look at ABA383 he switched from shorties to stepped longtubes on a stroker motor and didn't gain squat.

I planning 2 see if we gain anything from the converter, then when we get the LT we'll be back at the dyno. I'll be sure 2 post any gains w/ the lt's

I would get a Vigilante TC rather than an Art Carr, been down that route before....

Re: dyno tuned le1 heads & le2 cam

just got back from the dyno on sat. w/ the converter and well we first drove the car so we could get that bug we had out of the way. Well after that he was curious to see the difference, so we strapped it to the dyno and it made the 375hp again and tq was at 358. But i'll try to post up the dyno sheet.

13 ft lbs ain't bad, that's probably a lot fatter in the midrange which is what makes the car feel quick anyways.

yea the tq curve if flat as a board,FWIW we raced a 6.0 gto w/tr224 cam lt's, 3,000 stall, and pulled on him 3 to 3 1/2 car lengths he was suprised , that he followed us to the house .

Yep, it was very strange...However, back to back 1/4 mile dyno blasts on the same dyno on the same day went from 11.23 @ 118 to 10.98 @ 120 (identical 60's) with no other changes other than the header/Y-pipe swap...I have to believe that the 1/4 mile blast offers a wider "snap shot" of data over the dyno pull, but I don't know...We have been waiting for the weather break here to get to the track...This Friday may finally be the day...
