Dyno Results and Track Times LE2.1HL
380RWHP @6250
340RWTQ @4800
93 Firehawk, A4, stock bottom end.
LE2 heads, LE1HL cam, Dyno Tune
JetHot LTs, ORY, 3" Hooker Catback, 3200 Stall
(Results with cutout motor broken, cutout was stuck open about 1/8
)
based on previous tests (this car, this setup), that cost me about about +4rwhp +9rwtq.
Before and after heads/cam/stall/LT (Photoshopped together)

Finally made it to KCIR
My best run was 12.37 @ 110mph with a 1.71 60ft
http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e1...imeslip002.jpg
She was hooking awesome, I later found that my rear shocks were set to 4 instead of 8.
I may have been able to squeeze a little bit more out of it.
I'll know better next time.
Next up, new TC and an oil catch can (Inside of manifold is coated in oil)

It was about 60*, Overcast, 45% humidity.
I'm hoping for 390 or so with a better converter.
Maybe more if cleaning the manifold, installing the catch can and checking the lash on those rockers helps.
We'll find out soon
As already stated, you should be running a bit quicker and faster with that kind of power. My guess would be somewhere in the mid 11s at around 114-117 depending on weather conditions, vehicle weight and track elevation.
And that is about where I wanted it to be.
A street car that looks good for cruisin', gets me to work every day and
puts down respectable numbers at the track without being gutted.
I run with full interior, leather, power everything, A/C and power steering.
The only changes from street to strip are wheels (DRs/Skinnies) and front swaybar (cuz it's about 35lbs LOL)
And it runs on 91 pump gas.
Exactly...

And on the catch can, make sure you don't buy an ebay catch can, you need one with the mesh inside it to condense the vapors into a liquid or it won't end up doing much at all. Thunder racing has a nice one, or if you are on a budget you can do the compressor seperator from lowes or home depot. Oh and what gears are you running?

Let us know how you do when you get the yank in, it should pick up quite a bit.

Running 3.73s
nice #'s man.... i would love to make 400rwhp with a heads/cam and bolt on's on my 95 LT1 and be in the mid 11's...its def my goal!... then a 100 shot of nitrous and see where that gets me! with a built 383 stroker!
Maybe send the converter in to be refreshed?
I don't know if it was a bad converter or what (although it was brand new), but it certainly wasn't working well for the combo (cc503 stock head car).
Long-overdue update.
I'm since installed a Yank SS4000 and QA1 drag shocks.
I managed an 11.8@113mph yesterday with a 1.63 60ft. (-100 DA
)
My best 60ft was last weekend, when I somehow hit 1.58. (I've since been unable to do any better than 1.60)
She lauches hard and gets both wheels up. (I'll be adding more pics to my cardomain page shortly)

Not bad at all for a stock weight car with a 275lbs driver.
Should easily pull 11.7s at 115 with a 160lbs guy in the seat ... too bad 230-235 is about as low as I can go with this frame.
I'm gonna have to borrow Skinnies or Tiago as stunt drivers LOL
We tried a few different settings for WOT TCC lockup and ended up disabling it all together.
I've also installed an oil catch can and a 23% UD pully (my stock crank pully was damaged during an opti replacement)
We fixed an exhaust leak in one of my header primaries and modified the Y pipe so it would stop banging my crossmember as well.
That's about it for the season here in KC though.
I'll be back in March for the LTx shootout and the next MOFBODY shootout.
We'll see what fun projects winter brings. (Likely a replacement for the stock 10bolt and a new forged bottom end)
I still DD the car and it runs and handles great.
She'll be parked when it snows though. We get some nasty ice storms in KC
and I really prefer my Firehawks unwrecked LOL
