Looks like a good first outing to me. Nothing broke, and that's gotta still be a big improvement for you. Looks like you have a lot more potiential on the launch.

I expect it will be tricky to learn to launch mine, too. How about some timeslips so we can tell how it really went? What RPM? Slipping the clutch, or just the tires?

As I admitted, I need to get back in the saddle and drive this thing. she was down about a year befor this. When I get back from my 7 month vaction to the desert Ill put some sticky tires on her and I have a few other things sitting in my garage that should help my launch. Anyways here is best timeslip
RT.....1.27
60ft...2.21(Kumo's Suck)
1/8....8.68
1/8....86.50
1/4....13.1601
1/4....110.79

The clutch didnt slip it was all tires, Im running a McLoed street twin.

Quit granny shifting and you'll pick up 3mph.

I think I saw a 13.16 at 110. But it looked like he wasn't getting any traction so his 60's were bad. And he says he needs gears. So maybe he's running 2.73's. He also said he needs to learn how to drive it. If he's got 2.73's, take it from 13.16 to 12.8 with better gears....tires coule take it from 12.8 to 12.6, and if he got better at driving it he could go from a 12.6 to low 12's. (Then he should throw on a 100 shot or so) and bring it to low 11's....maybe a little extra juice and hit 10's

Reaction time has nothing to do with ET...I wouldn't worry about that yet...As you said earlier and I said in the LS1tech thread, you need some 4.10s, a sticky tire, and some seat time...I do agree that the mph doesn't match the trap speed, but you said it was hot and you were granny shifting and it was your first time in a long time racing, so I'll reserve any futher critiques til later...Good luck with everything...I still think that cam should make more power to 6500ish and not 5900..mmmmm...I'd look at that, too...

I think that would be difficult with a full weight car...

Hey man. I just say your post over on Fayetteville F-body.com. Your car is nice as hell, prolly the nicest black f-body ive seen in a while. Hopefully I will see it in person when you get back.

Sure, and I'm betting that's the fastest you went. 15rwhp more wouldn't do much -- you might get 118.5. While I'll admit that 118.5 is indeed "high teens," you're dreaming if you think you'd ever get 120+ at that power level without losing some weight.
