Dyno results
Had to get on the dyno tonight just to get my a/f readings for Ion (Madwolf) to tune. I'm actually suprised a bit that it put down the power that it did considering it doesn't have a lot of mods and it's missing quite a bit of supporting mods such as 1.6rr's, e/wp,pulley etc...
Car is completely emissions legal w/ Hooker shorties, small nitrous grind cam, and a cat-back as the only real horsepower making mods. The converter, drag radials and 3.42 gear either rob it of horsepower or do not make a difference at all.
The car is pig rich and needs leaned out terribly. 11.4 across the board on the second run and dipped down to 10.8 on one run. I'll scan the sheets and post them tomorrow. I wasn't going to post this at all - some will say somethings wrong, some may say BS.
Anyway, here's the numbers:
313/356
11.4 a/f
Going straight back to the dyno once Ion is done with the tune. Can't wait to hit the 12's again.

Re: Dyno results
Thanks Ion. I'll get these scanned and off to you tomorrow and dig those things out for you then as well. I was at the dyno until about 10 so I didn't get a chance to pull them out - wanted to get you this information. It has a 'thing' that it does at 5000rpm - we're not sure what it is but my buddy says it could be because the car is so rich that it just stops making power. Weird thing is it hits a wall at 5000rpm and kinda just stops pulling for a second - then it starts to pull through it. Bah - I always felt it at the track as soon as it got into 3rd gear but never could explain it to people. We'll see, maybe leaning it out and tuning it will take car of it.
Re: Dyno results
LOL - my wife doesn't like you. Your on the list with CANTONRACER - a good buddy of mine. She just came in the bedroom to go to bed and i'm telling her "Damn, we may have a problem with the car" hehehe - i'm banned from talking to you.
I'll send you the graphs tomorrow - I can handle her. I hope it's not the opti but eh, what are ya gonna do.

Re: Dyno results
She is probably not the first and most definetely not the last, if that makes her feel any better.
A dying opti will show up as a pretty visible sudden dip on the graph then it goes back up right away.... like a "V". If it just falls from 311 to 308...then it's the air fuel ratio.
Re: Dyno results
That's good to hear. I don't need anymore setbacks right now - an opti would kill the deal that i'm trying to work out with CANTONRACER for his ported lt1 heads hehehehehe - no Christmas card for him this year
