Ohh Crap....somethins is wrong i would expect at least 320 with those mods with a potential high of 335-340. Some is wrong with your car man, have it checked out.

Ever take it to the track so we can look at some #s? What about your A/F....I know you tuned it but is it still a little off?

This your first time at the dyno or do you have any before/after? What about yout cam install? You do it yourself?

You get the graph you can show us so we can determine if anything looks off......

Do you have any head work done? With shortie headers and a cam I would think you'd be at least 300, but I don't think 320-330 with out untouched heads unless you have it dyno tuned.

the car just got a valve job done on it, new lifters and new 1.5 rr's
new wires, plugs. i had a bent valve so it is all freshened up and fixed. I have the graph at home, i might take a picture of it and link it for yall to look at it. I dont have any track numbers yet though. The a/f might be off as well, i have the link to tune it, i just have to get the cable for the computer and i will tune it from there with bryan from pcmforless helping me. the cam was installed by lg motorsports a while back. there is no head work done on it either. what is it that i hear about loosing 50 hp from the flywheel, could this be the reason? any help is great. i also have 120k miles on the car.

thanks
-Mike

See my sig.
Thats with 1.6 RR, cc305, slp shorties, stock ypipe, borla catback, cold air...
A bunch of little mods ie, 1le driveshaft, fans/thermo, descreened maf, airfoil, pulley, etc

Mail order tune was from dave at mustgofaster.net. Probably could have gotten 325whrp and 335 ft lbs of torque with a dyno tune.

ok, i just called the guy and he said my a/f was at like 13.1!
makes me wonder if he even knew what he was doing on his part? they mainly work with LS1's so the LT1 might be throwing him off, i dunno.

That means you gained 25hp from bolt-ons and a cam . Somthing is way off. 315 sound right and 380+ with heads.

13:1? You really can't get much better than that and it looks like you don't even need a dyno tune. Why would you basically put a stock rocker on your car? Thats probably 10hp right there. And you have junk headers, probably another 15hp if you had lts. That would still only put you at 315 which is pretty low. My buddy just dyno'd with the 305 and lts and put down 335rwhp.

i have had issues with my past 1.6 rr's self-aligning and was really tired of everything that was going wrong, so i went back to the 1.5's. you are right, the 1.'5's are prolly 10 horses or so, and they even told me that.. and the headers, that might be my next problem...

Your Rockers are definetely costing you some hp. Prolly around 15RWHP.

What max rpm did you dyno at, considering you have stamped rockers? Also, your headers are not ****ty, they are on the few good shorty designs for the LT1. You really can't go better other than Long Tubes.

The most power of your set-up will most likely be achieved around 6,000 rpm+ or so. I cannot imagine you spinning your machine efficiently with stock rockers. NOT A GOOD IDEA...I am sure graph problably must have taken a downward dive around that area.

Just a thought.

When did you see peak HP? What springs are you using? And your 1.5 RRs instead of 1.6 IS costing you...see above.
