Dyno done and surprised

When and got my car tuned by Jeremy. Tune from mail order( F.A.S.T. Chip) was pretty good so only picked up 5 HP and 5 torque. 270@ 5300, 287@4300. Car is an 93 auto. Found out I have somewhere from a 3200-3400 stall, Hotcam( most likely)and yet I have ran a best of 13.5@101. Any ideas of why my time is crap even though it is stalled and cammed? They told me to get some gears but I wanna get into the 12's and they gear will probably net me two-tenths at most. He said my computer was throwing a code of something like ESC failed.

how do you know you have a cam? with those numbers is sounds like boltons . and if it does have a cam why does it peak at 5300.

I would expect you to dyno more than that if there was a cam in there.

If you really want a good Formato tune you need him to Dyno tune your car. Jeremy is a great guy, when he was trying to tune my car he actually bought me and my buddy that was with me dinner.

Yeah, my car with DR's and a CAI went 13.5 @ 101.xx all day.

Bolts on and shorties and I run almost the same time with a faster trap. I think you should get the code fixed first. How did you find the stall??

Jeremy did dyno tune the car. He said he probably couldn't get alot of power but he found 5 hp, 5 torque. He also did say power seemed to peak pretty early.
The stall discovery, the guy at the shop was telling me since the converter was really loose, my power didn't look as high. I asked if I had a stall and he said yeah, feels like 3200-3400 RPM stall and Jeremy agreed with him. I'm pretty sure he said the car picks up alot of power when the Torque COnverter locks up and soemthing about 100mph.( About 4800 RPM on the dyno, the power curve moves back down to 4500 but has about 15 extra horses from then on.)About the ESC code,I remeber he said Code 43 and that turns out to be the knock sensor circuit( which I believe was tuned out) and I have seen people get code 43 mixed with the ESC.

I wonder if your TC / trans is going out on you?? Your right, those numbers just don't match those mods.

Here's what my '93 did way back when I had minor bolt-on's. I think one run was with cutout closed, and the other was open. Just throwing it out there for comparison since it was mentioned that power peaked at 5300 RPM which is around where the peak HP was too.
