Dyno and the auto transmission

How do they dyno a automatic car without it downshifting to another gear when they floor it? Or do they just run through all the gears?

I dynoed in 3rd gear and if you floor it at 3k it wont downshift

Some shops have some module that will force it into staying in gear. Most don't though.

From: Oklahoma where trees are made of wood.

if you stick it in 3 and move it down it wont upshift.
