Re: dyno

What do you have for an intake. I think its starving for air. Also what kind of exhaust catback, stock, cutout?

Re: dyno

What intake setup do you have? What is the rest of the exhaust setup? Any other mods?

Re: dyno

Same or different dyno? If it wasn't the same dyno it's not a valid comparison...

I'd be looking for a general tuning problem like crappy plugs/wires or iffy optispark. Did they read the air-fuel ratio during the dyno runs? Maybe you're getting some knock retard, false or otherwise.

Hit the nail on the head. You need to balance air both in the motor and out. Throw a CAI and you will get a good amount of horspower out of the car.

Re: dyno

The intake isn't going to cork up 20+ rwhp though, probably won't gain much more than the typical 10 rwhp w/ the intake swap, I think something else is off. Just the tune on a stock car has yielded over 10 rwhp before...

11.4 is on the rich side, send the results and graph to MadZ28 and see what he says, probably want to tweak the tune a decent amount... Course that isn't to say I wouldn't get an intake, they're cheap at $150ish or less from some sources. Somebody posted a company selling copies of the Moroso intake setup for around $130 new if memory serves...

Re: dyno

Also, what kind of cat back are you running. If you run free flowing headers into a stock exhaust you still have a bottleneck.

With CAI, shorties, and 3 in catback, I only dynoed 272. The stock was 265 at the FW, right? So that's not that far off since it's an auto. Also slightly depends on the gears.
