I cant believe I am doing this, but I agree with Trey...to a point. You do need to have them welded up, they leak terribly if you dont. The ground clearance is awesome, I have never hit them, even when I got air in my car crossing a intersection. Side note, that was awesome They do have one problem though, at least with my application. I had to grind the steering shaft a little to get them to clear, but I went with the largest primarys I could get. They also dont play nice with the PIECE OF CRAP, LEAKING, JUNK, DONT EVER BUY ONE CANTON OIL PANS I had to beat one of the primarys to get it to stop rubbing. They also are a tight fit for the low oil sensor with a stock pan. You have to eliminate the low oil sensor with THE PIECE OF CRAP, LEAKING, JUNK, DONT EVER BUY ONE CANTON PAN. One thing I have noticed is the Hookers seem to have better plug change clearance. I have looked at alot of my friends motors that have Hookers, and you definelty have more room with Hookers.

Treyspeed,

when you refer to dynatech being superior in every way, are you speaking of the stepped or race versions of Dynatech? also in what ways are they superior? HP? Torque? I am thinking of going true duals, and these two headers are my choices, any recommendations or insight? Thanks

they dont limit ground clearance

plug access is fine

This IS scary. I to agree with Trey, but only because I was told by Bret that he likes the Dynatechs.

One thing to add, I have Dynatech headers and I love them, but if you have the factory oil cooler, you'll have to ditch it or buy an oil filter re-location kit like I had to!

Never had a problem with the steering linkage though, nor did I jack up the engine. The only PIA was the dipstick tube (Which you have to remove for all long tube headers)...

Come to think of it... maybe I should WELD my collectors on? I thought I smelled exhaust under the hood

Thanks guys

Oh yeah, enjoy driving with open headers while you can!

The Dynatechs that I have seen are only $429, ceramic coated. How are the jet hots ($550) about $200 more. Am I missing something??

That price of the Dynatechs does not include the collectors. Expect to spend at least another $200, depending on the style of collector chosen.
