During Rebuild.. New parts "smart idea"

I was curious if you could name some parts during a rebuild that would be smart to change out. I have purchased a whole new rotating assembly, getting the block machine work taken care of and I was curious what parts would be smart to replace. Also, can I just reuse my main caps or do they need to be machined as well? I planned on just studding them.

The car had 150k miles on it, however when I took it apart the internals looked really well.

Should I replace the stock dampener and under drive pulley? I am also converting to the 95+ opti system. I want to stick with the stock water pump so I will be going with the LT4 Extreme Timing chain or whatever its called.

Thanks. I just dont want to look over a little item that may bite me in the butt later.

You might ask your machinist what he thinks about studding the stock caps, he may want to line hone it with the new studs in place and torqued down.

Of course all the freezeplugs, cambearings, oil galley plugs, oil pump, oil pump shaft and collar, and run a chaser through all the bolt holes.

My only other option is to purchase new main caps at $200 or so? Would the block still need to be line honed if I purchased new main caps?

Thanks for the info. I wasnt aware that i needed to have the main caps available to line/hone. I was just going to give the machinist my bare block with all the freeze plugs and the cam bearings still intact.
