duals and LTs without crossover pipe?

I see that most people with a dual exaust set up on 4th gens have a crossover pipe in the form of an x or h pipe. And i was wondering in the next few months when i get a set of LTs if i need a cross over pipe or if I can run 2.5 duals and just dump out before back tire. Is there any gain or loss with this. I also wanna do it to cheat emissions cuz then i can run 2 cats and they only read out of one pipe so its gonna get only a 4cylinder emissions reading from the sniffer. Any input wuld be killer. Adam

H pipe would be best, but the reason for a center section is to have the exhaust flow at the same rate. If you run duals you will have to re-route your fuel lines on the driver side. I have not seen a dual 4th gen without the fuel lines re-routed.

youll see more gains, typically, with an X pipe over an H pipe. The H pipe gives a deeper sound however. That's what ill be going with when i have my duals fabbed up next week. Id rather have a deeper sound over the small HP gain id see by going with an X pipe.

I have duals with an x-pipe and stock fuel line location.

I didn't reroute my fuel lines either. I've been running my setup for 6 months or so and all is fine. I personally like the sound of an x-pipe. There's a video out there of an x-pipe and you might like that sound over the big truck sound that most cars on the road have.

I also run true duals without a crossover and stock fuel line location.
I did wrap the lines with thermal tape just as a precaution.
I run purple horny header mufflers straight off the Hooker LTs.
