dual exhaust over both sides of axle

I just dropped by an exhaust shop and asked them about running a dual 2.5 inch exhaust both going over the passenger side axle. I know that it has been done.. I even have pictures saved. But looking at my own 3 inch that goes over the passenger side axle.. there is NO room! My 3 inch is in fact bashed in from what it looks like being hit by the suspention. Can anyone explain that?

So I am considering dual exhaust both over each side of the axle. I know I can't just go ahead and run it over the driver side, but I remember reading a post on here about how a company (I think maybe BMR) has a kit that will allow you to run exhaust over both sides of the axel. Does anyone have a link to this, or has heard of it as well?

Thanks

I believe BMR makes a panhard bar relocation bracket that makes room for duals over the axles. Runs around $300 if I recall. Do a search in titles for duals or axle, I saw a thread a few weeks ago on it and looked it over, nice piece.

Re: dual exhaust over both sides of axle

I found the Panhard Relocation kit that BMR offers at thunderracing.com

Scroll Down A Bit

It's going for 200.. but I'm just a little confused.

It says it replaces the upper panhard rod support, so does that mean I can leave the lower one? It also says it allows enough room for up to dual 3" exhaust routing over the axle.. does this mean dual 3" BOTH over the passenger side? Thats what it looks like to me.. if thats the case that would be fine.

Sorry.. sometimes I feel like I'm such a question *****.. but I'm still new at all of this

Thanks guys!

That BMR Upper Rod will let you get dual 3" pipes over the passenger side axle, like you wanted. Given, it's not gonna be a lot of room, just enough for those pipes to curl over there. I haven't heard of anyone running this peice at all so...you're the guinea pig

Also, people just completely remove that upper bar and say that there's no difference in the car at all...I'd say try that first, and if it doesn' work, get that BMR peice.

Late...
