Dtc: 43

i got a code 43 when i scanned my car
i do have an OBDI conversion
it was working well
i installed an aftermarket tach
no SES light for like 2-21/2 weeks
i opend my cutout and that day it came on
i closed my cutout
check my wiring for the tach
when i check code 43 had somthing to do w/ the coil
the ONLY thing that is differnt is that i have a 20 amp fuse in the 10 amp slot for the ign?
could thta cause a problem?
it hasbn't before?
should i just get a new coil??
or what?!
thanks

everything i have says that a dtc 43 is a knock sensor. maybe when you open your cut-out it picked up some false knock or something like that.

i closed the cutout
and i got it scanned
and no knock was shown and the code still came up
we reset it and still came up
i just put a new knock sensor in back in march into the block the one thats attached to the coolant or whatver

No offense, and sorry I don't have anything to offer--but your writing looks like haiku!

Lt1 poetry, who would've thought?

I agree, it is sometimes hard to read posts on here because of the repetitiveness of small text. Btw, I just thought it looked cool, no offense intended.

Code 43 is because the sensor isnt getting a signal, no fire in the wire to it. Its not because of false knock, I use to think so but not the case. You have to check the voltage comming to it. There is a huge 2 page thread on a DTC 43 on this page or the next, check it out.

code 43 is definatly the knock sensor, I had that code last week, replaced the sensor and I was fine. Yours might not be the sensor if you just replaced it thou, I would check all the wiring.
